State of order

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

As a state of order , a political and economic doctrine is summarized in which the state mainly offers its citizens legal security and is limited to the maintenance of internal and external order. Interventions in economic and social areas are omitted in the model of the pure state of order. The opposite of this model is the so-called benefit state . Supporters of the state of order see the welfare state as one of the causes of the migration crises of recent years.

Similar models are the legal government of James M. Buchanan and polemically called in the 19th century night-watchman state of Ferdinand Lassalle .
