Organization of the world of work

The vocational training in Switzerland by the three institutions responsible Federation (Swiss Confederation), cantons and the world of work organizations (social partners, associations, companies, public and private Offering apprenticeships and other training opportunities) perceived.

The economy and with it the organizations of the world of work as a whole are a key element of vocational training. The terminology deliberately chosen in the Vocational Training Act takes into account the fact that, on the one hand, the economy remains a major player in vocational training, but that in addition to industry, trade and commerce, other areas such as agriculture and forestry and - since the constitutional vote of April 18, 1999, new in Federal competence - health, social affairs and art are to be included. The explicit mention of the social partners and professional associations was requested by a large number of people.
