Ottawa Renegades

The Ottawa Renegades were a Canadian football team from Ottawa in the Canadian province of Ontario . They played in the Canadian Football League and there in the East Division . The Renegades were founded in 2002 after the Ottawa Rough Riders disbanded in 1996 and the Canadian capital had to do without CFL football for five years.

The Ottawa Renegades helmet design consisted of the bust of a man in a black hat holding a football in front of a red maple leaf . The basic color was black. The club colors were red, silver-gray and black.

The Ottawa Renegades never reached the Canadian Football League East Division playoffs . In 2006 the team was disbanded.
