Overeaters Anonymous

Overeaters Anonymous ( OA ) is an international self-help group for people with eating disorders whose program is based on the Twelve Steps of Alcoholics Anonymous . As in all twelve-step groups, no member lists are kept and members can remain anonymous.

OA was founded in 1960 in Los Angeles, USA.

OA does not levy any membership fees or fees, but maintains itself solely through donations from members. During most of the meetings, donations are collected to cover expenses for e.g. B. To cover rent and literature production. OA does not accept outside donations.
