Owain Dwnn (* before 1401, † around 1460) was a Welsh nobleman and military.

Dwnn came from the old Welsh family Dwnn , who were among the leading Welsh families of the gentry in Kidwelly . He was a younger son of Maredudd Dwnn , his older brother was Gruffudd Dwnn . His father probably died around 1401.

Dwnn served in France as a soldier under John Talbot , later Earl of Shrewsbury, during the Hundred Years War in 1435 . Before 1436 he married Catherine Wogan , the daughter and heiress of Sir John Wogan . Failing to seek permission from the king to marry, he was fined £ 100 in 1436. He asked the king for a pardon, and in 1439 the sentence was waived because his wife, as heir to a rule of the Welsh Marches, did not have to ask the king for permission to marry. His wife inherited Picton Castle in Pembrokeshire . Owain inherited Muddlescwm at Kidwelly after the death of his father around 1446 . On June 11, 1446 he organized a tournament at Carreg Cennen Castle together with his brother-in-law Gruffudd ap Nicolas , in which he is said to have written praises of his brother-in-law. Like his brother-in-law, he was a retainer of Humphrey, Duke of Gloucester , the justiciar of South Wales. After his fall in 1447, he was briefly imprisoned. He then probably served under Richard of York in Ireland.

After his death, his only son, Henry Muddlescwm and Picton inherited .
