The H 'series were tank locomotives of the anonymous Luxembourgish Prince Heinrich Railway and Ore Mine Company (PH).
history
In 1913 the PH purchased ten triple-coupled superheated steam tender locomotives from the Belgian company La Meuse . The new series was essentially based on the H series . Together with the H and I series, they were the only standard gauge steam locomotives that were specially designed for Luxembourg.
When the Deutsche Reichsbahn took over the PH in 1942 , the locomotives with the numbers 75 651-660 were classified in the numbering scheme.
After the Second World War, only the 75 659 and 660 were left in Luxembourg in 1944. Seven machines reappeared, four were brought to Luxembourg in 1945/46, the remaining three in 1950. One machine was lost. The newly founded Chemins de Fer Luxembourgeois (CFL) classified the machines as series 34 in their numbering scheme.
From then on, the locomotives mainly hauled passenger and express trains on the routes Luxembourg – Wasserbillig , Luxembourg – Troisvierges and Pétange – Luxembourg .
By 1957, all nine locomotives based in Luxembourg and Pétange were in the CFL's inventory, at the end of 1959 there were none in the inventory. The steam locomotives were replaced by brand-new class 850 and 900 diesel locomotives
