PICT

PICT (the file extension pct is also used) is a predominantly internal graphic format ( metafile ) of the Apple operating systems up to Mac OS 9. It belongs to the QuickDraw screen description language . It can contain pixel, vector and text information. Under Mac OS X it was replaced by PDF , but is still supported by current QuickTime versions (Mac and Windows, as of November 2012). It corresponds to Windows Metafile (WMF or EMF) under Windows .
