Lists on the subject

The PMR-3 is a stick mine manufactured in the former Yugoslavia and used during the Yugoslav wars, belonging to the class of anti-personnel mines . It is the further developed successor model of the PMR-2 .

description

The mine body of the PMR-3 is made of steel and has a cylindrical shape, the bottom is conical. The upper side is closed by a domed cover with a central hole for the igniter. Six ring grooves are screwed into the steel body. Two retaining bolts are inserted on the sides to place the mine body on the aluminum stick. Depending on the position and use, the mine can be attached with the detonator up or down, which changes the height of the trigger wire. The screwed-in push-pull igniter protrudes in the center above, its four protruding steel pins form the pressure surface.

Mine body of the PMR-3

The PMR-3 can be ignited with the two push-pull detonators UPMR-3 and UPROM-1, the latter is the same detonator that is also used in the PROM-1 jump mine . After removing the safety clip on the detonator, the mine is sharp. With a pressure of approx. Nine kilograms from above or a lateral pull on the trigger wire from approx. Three kilograms, the pre-tensioned firing pin strikes the initial charge, which initiates the active charge via the booster charge.
