Pagai or Pagae, Greek  Παγαί , was an ancient city in the Greek countryside of Megaris . The place was on the coast of the Gulf of Corinth .

Athens occupied 461 BC Chr. Pagai in order to gain a maritime base of operations in the Corinthian Gulf. The peace treaty between Athens and Sparta in 446 BC. The city came under the influence of Megara . From 193 BC As an independent city, Pagai was a member of the Achaean League . The place was only abandoned in Turkish times.

When Pausanias visited Pagai on his journey through Greece, he was shown a remarkable portrait of Artemis Soteira.

According to some sources of Greek mythology , Pagai was considered the hometown of Tereus .

Remnants of the city walls can now be found near the village of Alepochóri.
