Pakpattan (Urdu: پاکپتّن) is the capital of the Pakpattan district in Punjab Province in Pakistan . In the city is the shrine of the Sufi saint Baba Farid , who was born in the 12th century. Every year the shrine is now visited by 2 million pilgrims and makes the city a major tourist destination.
