Palin spasticity

Palin spasticity describes the reconstruction of tectonically deformed rock complexes in their original position. Examples are changes caused by thrusts , faults , wrinkling , roofing . One then speaks of Palinspastic reconstruction, Palinspastic maps or profiles. The term was introduced by the American geologist GM Kay in 1937.
