Pango is a free program library for drawing and layouting internationalized text . Pango is used, for example, in GTK + from version 2 and in Mozilla Firefox and Thunderbird to draw the fonts. The name Pango is made up of the Greek “Pan” ( Παν , “all”) and the Japanese “Go” ( , “language”) and is intended to emphasize Pango's internationalization capabilities.

Effects such as anti-aliasing are possible by using Cairo .

The text-to- postscript converter paps (Pango-based postscript converter) is also based on Pango.
