The Panorama DDR-Auslandspresseagentur GmbH in Berlin acted for specific tasks in the area of foreign information of the GDR .

It sent out exclusive articles for foreign mass media , provided factual material and documentation on all of public life in the GDR, published information brochures and distributed a monthly magazine . This was called “Panorama Kommunal” and was published in collaboration with the GDR City and Municipal Day with a print run of 9,000 copies in German, English and French.
