Panorama Mesdag

Panorama Mesdag is the name of a building and a painting in The Hague in the Netherlands. The cylindrical painting is about 14 meters high and 120 meters in circumference, it shows a view of the beach and the North Sea near Scheveningen on the Hague coast. It was painted by Hendrik Willem Mesdag in 1881 .

The visitor enters the round panorama hall via a staircase from the middle and can view the illuminated painting from a tour. Nearby is a collection of works by Mesdag, who belonged to the Impressionist Hague School .
