Panoramic screen

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A panorama screen is a screen that does not have the usual aspect ratio of 4: 3, but a widescreen format with a resolution such as 1280 by 854 pixels. For structural reasons, panorama screens are often manufactured today as flat screens with thin-film transistor technology.

Panoramic screens in notebooks became popular with the PowerBook G4 Titanium from Apple and subsequently adopted by many other manufacturers.

Panorama screens are particularly well suited for applications with many pallets, but owe their popularity not least to the wide format display of DVD videos.
