Parallel drum

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A parallel drum is a machine that is used in road construction and is a supplement to the asphalt mixing plant . It offers the option of adding asphalt granulate to the asphalt mix . In this way, costs can be reduced and valuable raw materials can be fed back into the economic cycle.

The asphalt granulate is heated in the parallel drum and added to the new material according to a recipe. All substances contained in the asphalt granulate can be used again. With this approach, asphalt granulate can be added up to 80%, which at the same time saves the same amount of new material.
