The Paramount AHRLAC is a light reconnaissance aircraft from the South African manufacturers Paramount and Aerosud . The designation "AHRLAC" stands for "Advanced High Performance Reconnaissance Light Aircraft" (German: "light progressive high-performance reconnaissance aircraft"). The first flight took place on July 26, 2014.

construction

The AHRLAC is intended as a reconnaissance aircraft for the military and civilian sectors. It is a two-seater shoulder -wing aircraft in a construction similar to the OV-10 Bronco with double tail girders. As a light combat aircraft, it is to be equipped with a 20 mm cannon and four to six external load stations under the wings. In September 2011, an engineering model was presented to the public in Pretoria.
