Democratic Alternative Party

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Democratic Alternative Party ( Arabic حزب البديل الديموقراطي, DMG Ḥizb al-badīl ad-dīmūqrāṭī , French Parti Alternative Démocratique , PAD ) is a political party in Morocco , which was founded by the former member of the USFP, Tarik Kabbage, in 2015 and was approved on July 24, 2015.

Tarik Kabbage ( Arabic طارق قبّاج or القبّاج, DMG Tāriq Qabbāǧ ) has been Mayor of Agadir since June 2009 , where the PAD will also have its temporary focus.

The PAD is a spin-off from the USFP ( Socialist Union of People's Forces ). It sees itself as a basin for all those who are disappointed with the USFP.

The constituent meeting of the General Secretariat was scheduled for July 28, 2015. This means that the PAD will not be able to participate as such in the upcoming elections in September 2015; its candidates will have to stand for election as independent candidates.
