Retirees party

The Pensioners Party (short name: Pensioners ) was a small party that was founded in Kassel in October 1996, took part in the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2000 and was absorbed into the party for pension justice and family in 2002. The members were mainly active in leading positions in business or as entrepreneurs.

After it was founded, eight regional associations were created within two years. Subsequently, due to the lack of active people, some regional associations were dismantled.

In January 2000, the state association of North Rhine-Westphalia was founded, which took part in the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in the same year and there on May 14, 2000 with 10,708 votes, 0.1% of all votes was achieved.

Initially, on December 31, 1996, the Pensioners' Party consisted of 24 members, 17 of whom were contributory. At the time it had no regional associations or other subdivisions. In 1996 it had a total of 712 DM income, of which 201 DM membership fees and 511 DM donations from natural persons. Otherwise the party had no assets. The chairman in June 1997 was Rudolf Welsch, the federal treasurer Hans Bielenberg.

Successor party, Party for Pensions Justice and Family

In March 2001 the successor party for pension justice and family (short name: PRG ) was founded in Offenburg and in November 2001 the unification of the two parties was decided, which was then carried out in April 2002. The successor party took part in the 2002 Bundestag election and received 0.016% of the vote.
