Yoke (optics)

As a yoke (fit error) in the form of a deviation is optical surface z. B. on lenses or prisms . She is z. B. determined tactile as a line section with coordinate measuring machines or flat with an interferometer . As a rule, the maximum deviation from the desired shape perpendicular to the surface is given in units of length (mm, µm, nm) or in units of the light wavelength used in the measurement (strips).
