The Payathonzu Temple is a Buddhist temple in Bagan , Myanmar ; he is near the village of Minnanthu . It was built towards the end of the 13th century.

The Payathonzu consists of three adjacent temple buildings of the same type, which are connected by vaulted passages. The paintings in the eastern and central part of the temple are among the best preserved in Bagan and show scenes from the Jatakas and the life of Gautama Buddha, surrounded by ornamental depictions and small-format grids with Buddha images. The western part of the temple has remained unfinished and has not been painted.
