Pedro Guerreiro
Pedro Miguel Neves Guerreiro (* 25. February 1966 in Lisbon ) is a Portuguese politician , who from 2005 to 2009 Member of the European Parliament for the Portuguese Communist Party , part of the Group Konföderalem Group of the European United Left / Nordic Green Left was. He took up his seat in the European Parliament on January 13, 2005, replacing Sérgio Ribeiro , who belongs to the same party.
Life
In his youth, Guerreiro was active in the scouting movement. After studying psychology, he worked in his area of expertise in Loures Town Hall, where he was a member of the staff committee. In 2000 Guerreiro was a member of the Central Committee of the Portuguese Communist Party. Since 1997 he has worked with communist members of the European Parliament. In 2005 he received the mandate from MEP Sérgio Ribeiro. In the European Parliament he was Vice-President of the Fisheries Committee from 2007 to 2009. Guerreiro is a member of the Portuguese Ordem dos Psicologos .
