Peignoir

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
A peignoir

A peignoir (/ pɛɳwaʀ /, French for peigner, “to comb”) or peignoir is an elegant women's dressing gown, which is worn especially for hairdressing and facial cosmetics, i.e. before actually getting dressed.

In French, the word peignoir today refers to the disdainful bathrobe that has visibly displaced the classic peignoir in the 20th century.
