Penguin History of Britain
The Penguin History of Britain was published in nine volumes from 1996 to 2018 by Penguin Books , edited by David Cannadine . It addressed a wider public.
The forerunner was the Pelican History of England , published by GM Trevelyan for Pelican Books from 1950 to 1965. The Penguin History should replace this.
