The New Mexico prison , English Penitentiary of New Mexico , is located in Santa Fe County in the US state of New Mexico, southeast of Santa Fe . It opened in 1885.

It has three parts:

  • Level II with the least security,
  • Level IV / V,
  • Level VI with the highest security.
