Penney Ravine is a small canyon on Ardery Island in the Windmill Islands archipelago off the Budd coast of Wilkesland, East Antarctica . It is located on the north side of the island west of its center.
A team of biologists at Wilkes Station discovered them in February 1960. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named them after the American biologist Richard Lee Penney (1935-1993), who worked at Wilkes Station from 1959 to 1960.
