Penny Ryan is a Canadian curler and Olympic champion .
Ryan played as the lead of the Canadian team for the XV. 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics in curling. Skip Linda Moore's team won the Olympic gold medal after a 7-5 win in the final against Sweden around Skip Elisabeth Högström . Since curling was still a demonstration sport at that time, the medal has no official status.
