The pension fund of the technical associations SIA STV BSA FSAI (short: PTV ) based in Bern is an independent Swiss pension fund . As a pension fund, it insures the staff of its affiliated companies under the 2nd pillar .

PTV was established in 1961 as an independent foundation with the purpose of providing occupational benefits for engineers and architects . At the end of 2008, a total of 1,850 companies with 10,704 active insured persons and 1,308 pension recipients were affiliated with it. The investments amounted to almost 1.4 billion Swiss francs.

Legal bases

The legal basis is formed by the Federal Act on Occupational Old-Age, Survivors 'and Disability Pension Plans , the Federal Act on Freedom of Movement in Occupational Old-Age, Survivors' and Disability Pension Plans and the associated ordinances. The legal basis also includes its own insurance regulations.

organization

The highest foundation body is the foundation council . This is composed equally of seven employer and employee representatives and is elected by the donors' associations for three years. The day-to-day operations are carried out by an external company as an office.
