Pentekostarion
The Pentekostarion (Greek Πεντηκοστάριον , from Pentekosta , fifty days , Pentecost ) is a liturgical book in the Orthodox churches . It contains the liturgical texts for the period from Easter Sunday to All Saints' Day (Sunday after Pentecost ).
The pentekostarion was introduced into the Russian Church in the 18th century during the reforms of Patriarch Nikon , in place of the flower triodion , which started a week earlier.
Pentekostarion is also a term for the time from Easter to Pentecost.
