The Performance Food Group ( PFG , long name Performance Food Group Company , therefore the more abbreviation PFGC , which is also used as a ticker symbol on the NASDAQ) is an American food dealer headquartered in Richmond , Virginia .

The brands of the company, founded in 1875, include Braveheart, Empire's Treasure, First Mark, Guest House Tea, Heritage Ovens, Ridgecrest, Roma, West Creek and Silver Source, among others.

In 2008, PFG was taken over by the two investment companies Wellspring Capital Management and Blackstone Group . The companies Vistar and Roma Foods (the latter based in Italy), which were already owned by the two investment companies, were integrated into the Performance Food Group. The company went public in 2015.
