The term percussion (from Latin: percussio = vibration ) denotes:

  • Percussion (music) , in music the generic term for types of instruments from the field of percussion and effect instruments
  • Percussion (medicine) , in medicine a procedure in which the surface of the body is tapped for diagnosis
