meaning
Almost nothing has been passed on to us about the life of the historical Perseus and his function. We also don't know any government data. However, Perseus' role as a mythical ancestor points to the earliest empire formation in Persia.
According to Lycophron , Perseus is also referred to as the sun (" Περσεύς ὁ Ἣλιος "). He is said to have taught people to know the stars. This gives Perseus meaning as a divine being in the sense of Sabaeanism , but also as a bringer of culture. Furthermore, Perseus is said to have been the husband of Astarte , so most likely he performed the holy wedding with her priestess. All of this information points to a position as priest-king.
