Peter Krause (racing driver)

Klaus-Peter Krause is a former racing driver in the GDR touring car class who was national champion several times.

Career

Klaus-Peter Krause achieved his first success in motorsport in 1970 with overall victory in performance class I of the GDR championship. In the following year he drove behind Wolfgang Küther and Heinz Melkus in a Melkus racing car to third place in Formula 3 in performance class I of the GDR championship.

In 1972 he started with a C9 racing car in the GDR championship and, at the same time, with a touring car in the trophy of the ADMV presidium , the title of which he won. From 1973 to 1976 he drove an Arnstadt- Wartburg 353 in the A22 class for touring cars in the GDR championship, where he won the championship title in 1973 and 1975.
