Nelson (born Peter Nice ) is a British rock musician. In the 1980s Nelson was the front man of the punk band Three Times a Day , which was not very successful commercially, and played with Martin Newell on The Cleaners from Venus and The Brotherhood of Lizards .

Nelson played bass with New Model Army from 1990 to 2012 and played a decisive role in the band's sound with his bass playing. Nelson is not just a bass player, but an all-round musical talent. In addition to bass, guitar and vocals, he also masters drums. With his own band Kip Keino he is going on a new musical path with unusual sound experiments.

In early 2012, New Model Army announced on the band's website that their bassist Nelson had left the band after 22 years for family and personal reasons. The band pointed out that the split had nothing to do with a fire that had broken out recently in the band's studio or other internal issues.
