Peter Platen

Peter Platen (born April 24, 1969 in Mönchengladbach ) is a German Catholic theologian and canonist .

From 2002 to 2008, Platen was the personal advisor to the Vicar General of the Diocese of Limburg . In 2003 he did his doctorate at the University of Münster with a study on the participation of laypeople in the exercise of management power from the perspective of the actions of others in canon law . In July 2005 he was appointed diocesan judge and official councilor at the Episcopal Office of Limburg. From April 2008 to February 2009 he worked as personal advisor to the Limburg bishop Franz-Peter Tebartz-van Elst . In April 2011 he was appointed adjunct professor for canon law at the Catholic-Theological Faculty of the University of Münster.
