Petr Sklenicka (born February 1, 1964 in Česká Lípa ) is a Czech university professor of environmental sciences . Since February 2018 he has been the rector of the Czech Agricultural University in Prague (CZU).

Live and act

After the Faculty of Environmental Sciences was founded in 2007, Sklenica became dean of the faculty and remained so until 2014, from 2014 to 2018 he was Vice-Rector for Science and Research at the CZU.

Sklenicka conducts seminars and exercises on the subject of soil and landscape protection, in particular land management, land modifications and landscape ecology. In addition to his involvement at the CZU, he has been teaching at the Technical University of Prague since 2005 . In 2006 he lectured for six months as a visiting professor for land management and natural resources at Utah State University (USA).

On the occasion of the change of month between January and February 2018, Sklenicka took over the rectorate of the CZU from Jiří Balík .
