The Peugeot Quark is a concept vehicle from the French car manufacturer Peugeot .

The vehicle, which is similar to a quad with two seats, is 2.38 meters long and shorter than a Smart Fortwo .

The 425 kilogram car is powered by 4 electric wheel hub motors. Overall, a maximum torque of 400 Nm and a maximum output of 46 hp. The maximum continuous output is 28 kW (37.5 PS).

The quark should accelerate from 0 km / h to 50 km / h in about 6.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 110 km / h. Depending on the driving style, a maximum range of 100 to 130 kilometers is specified.

A fuel cell serves as the energy source . The hydrogen tank is a 9 liter cylinder with 70  MPa  (700 bar). "Refueling" is therefore a simple change of the bottle.

In May 2010 it was not yet known whether the quark would ever go into series production.
