Building

A rectory in Kleinzell has been documented since 1434, with the existing rectory consisting of a residential building from the end of the 17th century and a transverse farm building from the mid-19th century. The rectory was restored in 1902 and 1992 to 1993. The vicarage grounds can be reached through a gate that is made up of baroque pillars with spherical tops from the first third of the 18th century.

The residential building of the rectory is a two-storey building with a crooked roof , the center of which was accentuated on both sides by means of a paroque portal with straight roofing and double windows on the upper floor. The windows were framed with ears, and on the north side there are also diamond bars, some of which were decorated with spindle flowers. The unplastered farm building is attached to the west of the residential building in a hook shape.

In the interior of the residential building, the aisles of the two floors were designed as groin vaults , on the upper floor there is also stucco molding from the years 1760 to 1763. The rooms themselves have barrel or groin vaults. In addition, late Baroque ceiling mirrors were installed on the upper floor, and two decorated doors from the Josephine period and a baroque, reclining roof structure have been preserved. A baroque painting of the martyrdom of St. Lawrence from around 1750, which previously served as the altarpiece of the high altar of the parish church, is also located in the rectory. There are also paintings of St. Augustine from the beginning of the 18th century and St. Aloisius from 1765.
