history

In addition to the simple church building from the 17th and 18th centuries, a benefit was mentioned in 1755. In 1784 the church was elevated to a parish church.

architecture

The baroque hall building has a classicistic tower facade and small arched windows. A choir with a round apse adjoins the rectangular nave. A modern two-story sacristy and chapel were added to the north.

The interior of the nave with three bays from the late 17th century shows a needle cap barrel over belt arches made of pillars. The slightly retracted one-bay choir has a square vault from the first third of the 18th century and closes with a round apse with stucco ribbon decoration. Franz Neusser painted the vault fresco on the Sermon on the Mount in the choir in the second third of the 20th century. The neo-baroque stained glass Maria Immaculata and Christ Salvator in the apse windows are from the beginning of the 20th century.

Furnishing

The post-baroque high altar with a volute gable and laterally presented double columns and a tabernacle shows the altar leaf St. Aegidius by Johann Josef Schindler (1829).

The organ was built by Christoph Erler (1848). Franz Josef Scheichel names a bell in 1783.
