The Roman Catholic parish church of Heiligenkreuz is located in the village of Heiligenkreuz in the municipality of Micheldorf in Upper Austria in the Kirchdorf an der Krems district in Upper Austria . It is the hard Exaltation consecrated and belongs to the deanery Windischgarsten in the Diocese of Linz . The building is a listed building .

history

The church was consecrated in 1534.

Church exterior

The church is a small late Gothic building. On the west side is a roof turret with an onion helmet . The west, north and south portals are Gothic, with the north and south portals being walled up. However, the north portal was exposed in 1954.

Church interior

The single-nave nave is three-bay. Above it is a stitch cap vault . A Gothic triumphal arch separates the nave from the recessed choir with a 5/8 end . Fragments of a Gothic round service have been preserved in the north-west corner of the nave . Fritz Fröhlich created the ceiling fresco in the choir in 1954.

Furnishing

The decor is neo-Gothic . At the cemetery there are some wrought iron crosses from the 18th and 19th centuries.
