Parish Church of St. Francis

The parish church Linz-St. Francis is in the Kleinmünchen district of Linz in Upper Austria . The Roman Catholic parish church of St. Franziskus belongs to the Deanery Linz-South in the Diocese of Linz .

history

After the Second World War, an ÖBB barrack and elementary school 35 served as a temporary measure for pastoral care for the newly created district of Zöhrdorferfeld. From 1972 to 1975 the current parish center was built in the new line of buildings according to plans by Hans Riener ; due to financial difficulties, the church was not built by Hans Riener and Franz Josef Kranl until 1984 and was consecrated on October 5, 1985 by Bishop Maximilian Aichern . The organ was built in 1988, the tower in 2008.
