A pier suit is the reduction of the dimensions of a pier cross-section between the foundation and the pier head. The reduction is usually defined as the deviation of the ascending pillar edges from the perpendicular . For example, 50: 1 means that at a height of 50 meters the horizontal deviation from the vertical is one meter.
