Plow (unit)

The plow was a measure of field and arable land, a measure of area, in the Danish Duchy of Schleswig . The amount of seed was put in relation to the area to be cultivated.

  • 1 plow = 2 tons of seeds = 8 tons of hard-grain sowing
  • 1 plow = 1.68224 Parisian square feet = 69 4/9 Prussian acres
  • 3 tons of hard grain = 32 tons of seed land
