Philoxenus' coin

Philoxenus ( ancient Greek Φιλόξενος ) was an Indo-Greek king who is known only from his coins. According to the number of coins it was struck, it was one of the more important rulers of this period. The exact chronological determination of his reign is controversial in scholarship and varies between 130 and 90 BC. His coins often show a rider on the reverse. They have inscriptions in Greek on the front and Kharoshthi on the reverse .
