The Phnom Prich Game Reserve is located in eastern Cambodia. It belongs to the Srepok wilderness area and is part of one of the most important reserve complexes in Southeast Asia. The Mondulkiri forest reserve borders in the north .
vegetation
About half of the protected area is covered with dry forests, 40% are semi-evergreen forests, and about 10% are evergreen rainforests.
fauna
The reserve forms the core area of the largest elephant population in eastern Cambodia. In addition to the Asian elephant, there are other threatened large animal species such as the Indochina tiger , Indochina leopard , clouded leopard , Asiatic wild dog , Burma Banteng and lyre deer . Together with the Mondulkiri forest reserve, Phnom-Prich is home to around 2,700–5,300 Bantengs. This represents the largest population of this wild cattle worldwide. The numbers of other ungulates, such as wild boars and muntjacs, are currently recovering. All of these ungulate species form a basis for a potentially large tiger population.
