Phraseonym

The term phraseonym is generally defined as “a pseudonym made up (partially) of a sentence ”. Usually the definitions are narrower by referring phraseonyms to names based on idioms or at least idioms . Thus, according to Eymer (1997: p. XIV), a phraseonym exists “if the code name consists of a phrase”.

Examples

A few examples are given in the specialist literature: “from someone who has forgotten how to laugh”, “a very clever one” and “from an admirer”. From the more recent popular youth literature known is "the one whose name may not be mentioned" .
