Pi Orionis

Pi Orionis (π Ori / π Orionis) are a group of stars that make up Orion's shield .

They are not visually close to each other. Nevertheless, they have the same Greek letter in their Bayer names , each with its own superscript number.

For the Bayer designation of the stars, the Flamsteed designation is also given below in brackets, which follows a different numbering system:

• π ¹ Ori (also 7 Orionis)
• π ² Ori (also 2 Orionis)
• π ³ Ori (also 1 Orionis)
• π ⁴ Ori (also 3 Orionis)
• π ⁵ Ori (also 8 Orionis, a visible double star together with 5 Orionis)
• π ⁶ Ori (also 10 Orionis)
