The Piesslinger GmbH is a company with headquarters in Molln . Upper Austria's oldest family-owned industrial company was founded more than 460 years ago as a scythe forge and today employs more than 400 people. The total annual turnover is 30 million euros . The company specializes in the surface treatment of aluminum ( powder coating , anodizing ) and the refinement of aluminum into decorative parts.
Company history
Piesslinger was founded as a scythe forge in 1553 and is now in the 11th generation of the family. In 1950 the first anodizing plant was built, which is the basis for the company in its current form. The first production line for the mechanical processing of aluminum was built in the 1960s. The surface technology area was finally completed in 1985 with the construction of the first powder coating plant.
