Pietra Rasa

Pietra Rasa is a historical technique that combines grouting with plastering on field and rubble stone walls. The excess setting mortar is spread smoothly onto the stone surfaces, but the stone heads remain uncovered and visible. A joint line can then be drawn with the trowel.
