Pietro Archiati

Pietro Archiati (* 1944 in Brescia ) is an Italian anthroposophical author.

Life

He grew up as the fourth of ten children in a farming family. He studied theology and philosophy at the Gregoriana in Rome and later at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich. In Laos he worked as a teacher during the most difficult years of the Vietnam War (1968–70). From 1974 he worked in New York in connection with the missionary order, in which he had entered as a ten-year-old.

In 1977, while a hermit on Lake Como, he discovered the writings of Rudolf Steiner , whose spiritual studies became the great passion of his life. From 1981 to 1985 he was a lecturer in a seminary in South Africa during the last years of segregation. He has lived in Germany as a writer and freelance speaker since 1987, giving lectures, seminars and conferences in various countries.
